FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Dan Flaherty, the director of the Oil City Library who also oversees the Franklin Public Library, addressed the Franklin Council Monday asking the council to consider upping the city’s financial support of the Franklin Library.

Flaherty, while acknowledging on multiple occasions how grateful the Library is for the current support given to it by Franklin, including allowing the Library to use the building rent-free, said that the Library has undertaken additional maintenance costs on the building.
