Franklin Teen Accused of Striking Man, Woman During Domestic Dispute

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — A 19-year-old Franklin woman is facing assault charges following a domestic dispute.

According to court documents, the Franklin Police Department filed charges against 19-year-old Kaitlyn Nicole Kline, of Franklin.

Around 3:17 p.m. on January 19, Patrolman Scott was dispatched to a private residence on the 1400 block of Buffalo Street for a report of a domestic dispute, according to a criminal complaint.

After investigating the altercation, Patrolman Scott determined that Kaitlyn Kline allegedly struck a known woman in the face, then assaulted a known man, striking him repeatedly in the face and arms with a closed fist, causing him to sustain lacerations to his arms.

The known woman attempted to stop Kline by pulling her away, and Kline allegedly assaulted the woman again, striking her in the face five or six times with a closed fist. The woman sustained bruising to her forehead from the assault, the complaint states.

Kline was arraigned at 5:30 p.m. on January 19, in front of District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

She is free on $10,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on January 24, at the Venango County Central Court.
