Franklin Teen Allegedly Attempts to Choke Woman, Then Holds Knife to His Throat

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Police responded to a Domestic Assault that occurred around 10:41 p.m. on September 28, on Buffalo Street, in Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, 18-year-old Sean Michael Bickel, of Franklin, allegedly assaulted a woman at the above described location.

Through the investigation, it was discovered that Bickel allegedly attempted to choke the woman, police say.

After doing this, he allegedly grabbed a knife and held it to his throat and threatened to kill himself if he went back to placement, according to police.

It was reported that the woman was able to get the knife away from him before he ran out of the house.

He was picked up by Probation and Parole walking around his block and transported to the City of Franklin Police Department for processing and arraignment.

He was arraigned in front of Judge Snyder on the following charges:

– Simple Assault
– Disorderly Conduct Engage in Fighting
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact

He was remanded to the Venango County Jail on $25,000.00 bail.

A preliminary arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8.
