Franklin Woman Accused of Assaulting Man with Baseball Bat

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Police have filed assault charges against a Franklin woman after she allegedly struck a man in the head with a baseball bat on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, August 26, around 10:17 p.m., officers were dispatch to the 1100 block of Chestnut Street for a report of an active domestic dispute.

When officers arrived on scene, contact was made with the male victim who had a fresh head injury.

The victim stated that he and his live-in girlfriend, Angel M. Spencer, engaged in an argument.

He then stated that the victim struck him in the head with an aluminum baseball bat.

Spencer was taken into custody on Misdemeanor Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct charges.

Spencer was lodged in the Venango County Jail after failing to post $25,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for September 3.
