Franklin Woman Accused of DUI After Crashing into Building

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Sugarcreek Police Department say a Franklin woman was arrested on July 22 on DUI charges following an incident where she struck the side of a building with a vehicle.

According to police, around 11:14 a.m. on July 14, 34-year-old Marissa D. Wyant, of Franklin, was traveling through the parking lot of the Giant Eagle located at 541 Allegheny Boulevard when she struck the Wine and Spirits side of the building.

Minor damage, if any, was done to the building, and minor damage was done to the vehicle, police say.

According to police, Wyant was charged with the following offenses:

  • DUI Schedule I Narcotic in System, THC
  • DUI Schedule II Narcotic in System, Methamphetamine and Amphetamine Combination
  • DUI Combination of Narcotics, Which Rendered Operator Incapable of Safe Driving
  • Driving Without a License

Charges have been filed through District Magistrate Patrick Lowrey’s office.
