Franklin Woman Accused of Helping Minor Obtain Marijuana

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin woman is facing charges for allegedly helping a minor obtain marijuana.

Sugarcreek Borough Police say an investigation found that 37-year-old Christina Vanhorn provided a known juvenile with money and rides to purchase marijuana and would also provide marijuana to the juvenile.

According to police, Vanhorn and the juvenile would smoke marijuana together.

Vanhorn reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana with one of her own children during a police interview.

Court documents indicate Vanhorn was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey at 1:20 p.m. on October 29, on the following charges:

– Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Endangering Welfare of Children — Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, Felony 3
– Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1

Unable to post $20,000.00 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on November 4, in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
