SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin woman is behind bars following an incident Tuesday morning in which she allegedly threatened another person with a knife.

Sugarcreek Borough Police Lieutenant Ashbaugh says officers were dispatched to a Rocky Grove residence around 10:03 a.m. for a report of a woman “threatening a known victim with a knife and acting erratic.”

Following an investigation into the incident, Erica Raelene Rick, 22, of Franklin, was taken into custody.

She was charged with one count each of misdemeanor simple assault and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Rick was arraigned at Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office and placed in the Venango County Jail.

Court documents indicate that bail was denied because Rick was “uncooperative and failed to answer questions relating to setting her bail.”

A preliminary hearing is set for January 11 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey residing.
