FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Police say around 12:11 a.m. on July 13, a domestic assault occurred at Arbor Circle, in Franklin, Venango County.

Officers were dispatched to Arbor Circle for a report of an unwanted female actor trying to break in the front door of the residence.

Police say it was then learned that this actor allegedly was 18-year-old Morningstar DeFreese, who is a resident of the apartment on Arbor Circle.

An investigation revealed that DeFreese allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with a female (who is also a resident of the apartment) which escalated, police say.

According to police, DeFreese allegedly assaulted the female by punching her in the face multiple times before leaving the scene.

She was located minutes later and placed under arrest for domestic violence, police say.

Charges were filed through Judge Snyder’s office for the following offenses:

– Simple Assault
– Physical Harassment
– Disorderly Conduct

DeFreese was arraigned in front of Judge Snyder and released on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.
