Franklin Woman Faces Hearing on DUI Hit-and-Run Charges

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – A Franklin woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly struck two cars and a parking meter while driving under the influence.

Court documents indicate the Franklin Police Department filed criminal charges against 56-year-old Lisa Renee Perrotta, of Franklin.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, officers of the Franklin Police Department were dispatched to Municipal City Lot C for a report of a multi-vehicle hit-and-run.

According to the complaint, Lisa Renee Perrotta was observed by multiple witnesses striking two legally parked vehicles in Municipal City Lot C, as well as a parking meter post, before exiting the lot going the wrong direction on a one-way street.

An investigation found Perrotta exhibiting signs of severe impairment to the degree she was rendered incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle, according to the complaint.

The following charges were filed on Monday, August 6, in Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland’s office:

  • DUI: General Impairment/Incapable of Driving Safely – 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
  • DUI: Highest Rate of Alcohol (BAC .16+) 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
  • Accident Damage To Unattended Vehicle Or Property, Summary (three counts)
  • Drive Wrong Way, Summary

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, with Judge Kirtland presiding.

A certified summons was issued on August 13.
