SANDYCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police have released details surrounding a one-vehicle crash in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

Police say the 12:51 a.m. October 4 crash occurred as a 2015 Audi A3 operated by Stacy S. Smith, 41, of Franklin, was traveling south along State Route 8.

Smith allegedly failed to negotiate a left curve in the road and traveled out of the roadway, impacting a stop sign at the intersection with State Route 62 before striking a guide rail, according to police.

Smith allegedly fled the scene on foot and was located at her residence, police say.
