Frederick Wayne Schoolik, 81, formerly of Tionesta, died at Mulberry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Punxsutawney on September 23, 2017.

Born June 26, 1936 in Brookville, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Kerns) Schoolik.

Mr. Schoolik was a graduate of East Forest High School. He also attended East Coast Welding and Technical School and obtained a degree in Nuclear Pipe Welding, Combination Fabrication, and Repair Welding.

He was a member of the United States Air Force, obtaining the rank Airman 3rd Class, until December 1, 1958.

Mr. Schoolik taught welding in Burlington, NJ.

He was a member of Black Bass.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, leatherworks, and photography.

Mr. Schoolik is survived by his brothers, Kerry Schoolik of FL, John Schoolik of NC, and Paul Schoolik of NJ.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy O’Connor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.

Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Forest County, PA, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.
