FRANKLIN, Pa. — A free Labor Day Family Block Party is scheduled for Saturday, September 3.

Bring the whole family 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and enjoy hot dogs, macaroni salad, potato salad, chips, watermelon, and more.

Families can play games and participate in activities, visit the balloon animal and face-painting stands — all for free.

The party will be held on the block of 12th Street, between Liberty Street and Buffalo Street (between Benjamin’s and the Franklin Library).

It is sponsored by the Barrow-Civic Theatre; Benjamin’s Roadhouse; Main Street Market; Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce; Jones’ Party Magic; and Fezell’s Shop n’ Save.

After the Family Block Party, head over the Barrow-Civic Theatre for an evening of clean, family comedy.

At 6:00 p.m., Mackenzie Bart and her sassy diva sidekick, Roxy will be entertaining.

The duo made the Top 10 for their talent competition in the Miss America Scholarship Pageant in 2014. Mackenzie is also 2014’s Miss Ohio, and winner of the 2015 TBS reality show, America’s Next Weatherman.

At 7:00 p.m., Ryan & Friends will feature popular Christian comedian and ventriloquist, Ryan Bomgardner, who performs throughout the year across the United States and Canada with his outrageous friends, Jeffrey, Harold and Irene, Ardy the Skunk, and Tiffany.

Tickets are $15.00/$12.00/$10.00 and can be purchased at the Barrow Box Office at 1223 Liberty Street in Franklin, by phone at 814-437-3440, or online at www.barrowtheatre.com.
