Gene O. Winger, 67, of 290 President Village Rd. Tionesta, PA.

died at 7:20 A.M. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at UPMC- Montefiore in Pittsburgh.

Born Oct. 7, 1949, in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Donald J. Winger & Blanche Miller Winger.

Gene was a graduate of Oil City High School.

He was employed many years at Riverside, operated Gene’s Groceries in Reno and had retired from Titusville Fabricators.

Gene was married on June 26, 1971, to the former Karen S. Price and she survives.

Gene enjoyed dirt track racing, riding his four-wheeler, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and the companionship of his dog Lulu Sue.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Gene E. Winger & his wife Wendy of Oil City, Susan A. Winger of President; 5 grandchildren, Keisha, Kendra, Kayla, Kara Winger, Katyln O’Laughlin; 2 brothers, Rev. Jack C. Winger & his wife Patty of Shippenville, Donald L. Winger of Huntersville, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 11:00 A.M. in the President Chapel with Rev. Jack C. Winger(his brother) presiding.

Memorials may be made to the Venango County Humane Society.
