Girls’ Basketball: Franklin, Oil City Lose Tight Contests

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Despite a valient fourth-quarter comeback attempt, Franklin fell short to visiting Sharon, 64-60.

The Knights trailed by 13, 51-38, going to the fourth quarter but behind 13 Karlie Hoffman points nearly pulled off the comeback.

Hoffman led all scorers with 26 points, while Zelika Hartle added 12 points, Alexis Martin nine points and Aliseia Baker 12 points.

Jaysina Sellers paced Sharon with 18 points, Mariana Harris added 16 points, Ayanna Harrison chipped in 13 tallies and Jordan Murphy.

GREENVILLE 49, OIL CITY 46

OIL CITY, Pa. – Greenville grabbed a 14-6 lead after one quarter and then held on to beat Oil City, 49-46, at Oil City.

Amy Batt led the Lady Trojans with 12 points and Nina Cano added 10 points.

Gabbie Plumer paced Oil City with 12 points with Abby Yeager adding 10 points.
