Girls’ Basketball Recaps: McCauley’s 26 Points Leads Oil City Past Meadville

OIL CITY 59, MEADVILLE 19

MEADVILLE, Pa. — Sarah McCauley scored a game-high 26 points, as visiting Oil City cruised to a 59-19 win at Meadville.

Grace King added 10 points for the Oilers, who also got eight points, eight rebounds and five blocks from Allie Domer. Jamie Stack chipped in 12 rebounds, and Jen Stevenson had five assists.

Oil City is back in action Thursday when it hosts Grove City on Senior Night.   

MAPLEWOOD 62, FRANKLIN 42

GUYS MILLS, Pa. — Aneica Johnson and Karlie Hoffman both had strong games, but visiting Franklin dropped a 62-42 road decision at Maplewood.

Johnson led the Lady Knights with a game-high 21 points while Hoffman added 15. The duo combined to make 14 shots from the field.

Franklin returns to action Thursday when it hosts Youngsville.

JAMESTOWN 36, ROCKY GROVE 33

JAMESTOWN, Pa. — Despite 21 points from Alexa Larson, Rocky Grove fell on the road, 36-33, at Jamestown.

Rocky Grove will close out its season Thursday when it hosts Commodore Perry.
