Gladin, Flinspach Go Deep in Cranberry Win

PARKER, Pa. (D9Sports) – Trevor Gladin and Thomas Flinspach both homered to lead visiting Cranberry to a 12-8 win over A-C Valley.

Flinspach was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored, while Gladin was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Shay Harry also collected three hits while driving in one and scoring twice, and Brandon Forrest was 2-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Gladin got the win in relief of Flinspach going four innings allowing five runs, two earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out two. Flinspach pitched three innings allowing three unearned runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two.

Jeff Ginn was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, three runs scored and an RBI to lead A-C Valley.

Luke Whitcomb took the loss giving up nine runs, three earned, on 12 hits and two walks while striking out two over 5 ⅓ innings of work.


FRANKLIN, Pa. – A four-run sixth inning helped Rocky Grove top West Middlesex, 4-1, in the game that was suspended Wednesday and completed Friday.

Conner Curran had a home run for the Orioles, while Scott Perry went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Scott Perry got the win in relief of his brother Travis. He allowed one run on three hits while striking out one. Travis went four innings of hitless ball walking three and striking out nine.


FRANKLIN, Pa. – Despite hits from Brendon Gordon, Connor Rakow and Jeffrey Knox, Franklin dropped an 8-0 decision to visiting Fort LeBoeuf.

Rakow took the loss allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four in three inning of work.


BUTLER, Pa. – Colton Hutchinson, Tyler Yough and Jake Weckerly each drove in two runs to help Karns City down visiting Keystone, 18-1 in six innings, at Kelly Automotive Park.

Hutchinson was 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored with Yough going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Weckerly 2-for-5. Nolan Riley and Austin Rumbaugh each added doubles for the Gremlins with Riley going 1-for-4 with two runs scored and Rumbaugh 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and four runs scored. Dylan Keene and Steve O’Donnell each scored twice for Karns City.

Logan Pistorius went four innings in getting the win. He allowed one run on two hits and four walks while striking out six. Weckerly pitched two scoreless innings allowing two walks while striking out four.

Logan Snell had a hit and a run scored for Keystone.


FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – Zander Hargenrader was 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs to lift North Clarion to a 13-3, five-inning win over visiting Forest Area.

Matson Higgins added a 3-for-4 day with three runs scored and an RBI and also threw a scoreless inning of relief with two strikes outs.

Hargenrader also pitched in relief giving up one run on a hit, two walks and a hit batter while striking out one.

Tyler Wolbert picked up the win going three innings allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk while striking out three.

Dillon DiCorpo took the loss for the Fires.
