Glenn L. Myers passed away with family and chaplain colleagues by his side on January 6, 2014.

Glenn was born in Franklin, Pennsylvania to Glenn and Elizabeth Myers.0

He served in the United States Army for 32 years, 30 of those years as a chaplain. Glenn traveled the world serving in such places as Germany, Italy, South Korea, Vietnam, Ft. Dix, Ft. Knox, Ft. Hood, Ft. Ord, Ft. Belvoir, Ft. Ben Harrison, Ft. Hamilton, and US Army War College in Carlisle, Pa. Glenn served as a pastor in Derry, PA; Farmington, NM; Hobbs, NM; and St. Petersburg, FL.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eleanor Curry. He is survived by his wife, Diana Kupchella; sons, Keith and Brian; daughter-in-law, Myunghee; along with a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge VA 22191 on Monday, March 10 and Tuesday March 11, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m., both days. Friends and family will gather at the Old Post Chapel, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall on Wednesday March 12 at 8:30 a.m. for memorial service at 9 a.m.

Burial following at Arlington National Cemetery. An additional memorial service will be held at the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, 1313 New York Ave., NW, Washington, DC at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.

Memorial donations can be made in Glenn’s name to a local food bank or to the Humane Society.
