‘Glowing With Hope: 2017’ 5k Set for Saturday, July 8

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Venango County is holding the “Glowing With Hope: 2017” 5k on Saturday, July 8, in Oil City.

The proceeds of this race will benefit V.E.T.S. Honor Guard and Venango County Wellness.

An award ceremony will be held following the race in Justus Park.

Pre-registration is $20.00 and includes a commemorative reflective T-shirt. To pre-register go to the Venango County website, runhigh.com, or runsignup.com before June 23.

Registration in Justus Park on the day of the event is $25.00.

Registration and check-in begin at 7:00 p.m., walkers start at 8:45 p.m., and runners start at 9:00 p.m.

The race will proceed along Seneca, Sycamore, East Front, Petroleum, West First, and State Streets before returning to Justus Park for the finish and awards ceremony.

A map of the route is available at co.venango.pa.us/GlowRun5K/. Electronic chip timing will be provided by Runners High and water will be available throughout the event.
