BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to sources, the Golden Tornado Foundation chastised the Butler Area School Board for mismanagement allegations at Monday night’s meeting.
Sources say the allegations came from “incomplete documentation” of certain income according to school board members.
According to sources, the debate concerns a $25,000 rebate from Comdoc, which provides copiers to the district.
The issue involves how the rebate was to be appropriated — it was unclear whether the rebate was to come back to the district, or if it was a donation to the scholarship fund.
Additionally, the word “rebate” became an issue; concerns arose as to whether it was legal to receive a rebate.
