Gregory John Schneider, 65, formerly of 707 Gay Street Oil City, PA., died at 3:20 A.M. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at UPMC-N/W in Seneca after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 21, 1952 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Renwick”Rennie” Schneider and Elizabeth “Betsy” Harper Schneider.

Greg attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a 1970 graduate of Venango Christian High School.

Greg was employed by Pennzoil for 18 years before a disability forced him into early retirement.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church.

Greg enjoyed all sports and enjoyed the company of his nieces and nephews and their children.

He is survived by 12 brothers and sisters, Michael Schneider & his wife Nancy Petulla Schneider of NC, Karen Gatesman & her husband William of NC, Tom Schneider of MI, Gerald Schneider & his wife Rose of Fertigs, Louise Best & her husband Ken of Oil City, John Schneider of Columbus, OH, Mary Beth Canbulat & her husband Gene Detrich of Troy, OH, David Schneider & his wife Bridget of Plumer, Renwick C. “Charlie” Schneider II of Dempseytown, Steven Schneider & his wife Ann of Oil City, Christopher Schneider & his wife Julie of Oil City, Kim Kahney & her husband Scott of the Woodlands, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Rennie Schneider.

Friends will be received from 6-8 P.M. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 P.M. Friday in St. Joseph Church with Fr. John Miller, Presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
