Handel’s Messiah to Debut on Friday at Barrow-Civic Theatre

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Handel’s Messiah will debut on Friday, December 15, at Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin.

Franklin Civic Operetta Association (FCOA) will present their biennial production of Handel’s Messiah on December 15 and December 16 at 7:30 p.m. on both nights.

Composed in 1741 by George Frideric Handel, Messiah is known as one of the most frequently performed choral works in Western music, with iconic refrains from “Comfort ye, my people” to the “Hallelujah” chorus.

Tickets range from $14.00 to $16.00.

Christmas Tree Extravaganza at the Barrow

This year’s Christmas Tree Extravaganza at the Barrow features 60 Christmas trees, decorated by local business and individuals. The trees will be lit for viewing now through December 21 during the theater’s normal business hours and during performances.
