Harvey H. Ganoe, 89, of Knox passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Shippenville Healthcare and Rehab Center following an extended illness.

Born June 5, 1928, in Foxburg, Harvey was the son of John and Effie Ganoe.

Harvey graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1946. He served in the Army in Korea and then worked for the PA Game Commission until his retirement.

On June 23, 1950, Harvey married Sarah Rowe who survives.

Harvey enjoyed bird watching, model trains, yard work and gardening, especially tomatoes and onions and collecting coins.

He was a member of the Audubon Society and Ducks Unlimited.

Along wi, h his wife Harvey is survived by two sons Kevin (Carolyn) Ganoe of Herkimer NY and Craig (Mary Ann) Ganoe of West Lebanon, NH, four grandchildren Kellie (Edward) Shively, Corey Ganoe, Josephine Ganoe and Samuel Ganoe; and a sister Geraldine Harnish.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister in law John and Hannah Ganoe and a brother in law Leroy Harnish.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 PM Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1051 Twin Church Road, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday in the Church with Pastor Karen Parsh officiating.

Interment will follow at the St. Pauls Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to the Clarion Forest VNA, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion PA 16214 or the St. Pauls Lutheran Church.
