Haynes Hit Lifts Franklin Past Sharpsville

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Ian Haynes walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth scored Brendon Gordon to give Franklin a 4-3 win over visiting Sharpsville Wednesday.

Connor Rakow had another big game for the Knights going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs.

Zach Baughman and Gordon both doubled for Franklin with Baughman also walked and picking up an RBI, and Austin Rhoads was 2-for-3 with a walk.

Gordon got the win in relief of Kolten Banfi. He allowed one run on one hit and three walks while striking out two in three innings of work. Banfi went five innings allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits and a walk while striking out six.
