Hearing Set for Oil City Woman Busted for Heroin

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City woman recently busted for heroin is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing next Wednesday.

Court documents indicate that 37-year-old Heather Ann Morgan, of Oil City, is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, on the following charges:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
  • Tamper With/Fabricate Physical Evidence, Misdemeanor 2
  • Possession of Instrument Of Crime, Misdemeanor 1
  • Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor

Morgan remains lodged in the Venango County Jail on $65,000.00 monetary bail.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, authorities had been conducting an investigation of drug use and distribution at a residence located at 7 Bishop Avenue in Oil City.

The complaint indicates that during interviews and investigation, Oil City Police Chief Robert Wenner and Officer Anderson gained a confidential informant related to the selling and distribution of drugs at the residence.

On Sunday, October 14, the Oil City Police Department executed a search warrant on the residence. During the course of the search warrant, police located a substantial amount of suspected heroin. Police also discovered suspected heroin in a Vicks VapoRub container.

The complaint states that on Tuesday, October 9, and Wednesday, October 10, Heather Morgan conspired with another known individual to remove, alter, destroy, conceal, or remove evidence, namely suspected heroin, with the intent to impair an investigation.

Morgan was arraigned on Sunday, October 14, in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office.
