Heavy Damage Reported at Clarion Strip Club Fire
CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Crews battled a structure fire at the The Sugar Shack along Route 66 in Clarion early Thursday morning.
The call came in around 3:40 a.m. for a report of a structure fire at The Sugar Shack, located at 12584 Route 66 just south of Interstate 80 exit 64.
Around 4:00 a.m., crews shut down a portion of Route 66 as firefighters continued to battle the blaze. The roadway reopened around 6:30 a.m.
The fire was reported to be under control around 5:01 a.m.
The building sustained heavy damage and appears to be a total loss.
Firefighters remained on the scene as of 6:35 a.m.
Fire Departments dispatched include Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1, Limestone Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Strattanville Volunteer Fire Company.
Clarion-based State Police also responded to the scene. Clarion Hospital EMS Ambulance was dispatched, but according to Clarion County 911, no injuries were reported.
West Penn Power was dispatched at approximately 4:00 a.m.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit has been contacted and an investigation will be conducted.
