Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in County

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) – Heavy rain has caused some flooding in certain areas of Venango County on Thursday morning.

According to Venango County 911, there was flooding at the intersection of Route 62 and Pittsburgh Road (Route 8) in Sandycreek Township; on Pone Lane in Franklin; and across Georgetown Road in Frenchcreek Township.

PennDOT was called to put out warning signs.

Volunteer fire departments from Sandycreek and Polk were also called.
