Helen G. Stahlman, 94, of Clarion, died peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA, surrounded by family.

Born on October 9, 1919 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of Michael and Susan Paulisin Gresko. She graduated from Warren Harding High School and Bridgeport Beauty Cosmetology School, in Bridgeport, CT.

Helen was married on June 15, 1943 to John J. Stahlman, who preceded her in death on November 2, 1993.

She was an active community member and parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion, where she participated in the Ladies Guild, Funeral Committee, and served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Surviving are two sons, Jack Stahlman of Asheville, NC, and Joe Stahlman of Clarion; two daughters, Jill Shirey (husband, Michael) of Hanover, PA, and Jody Smith (husband, Karl) of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Frank, Joseph, and John Gresko, husband, a daughter, Joyce Caruso, and a grandson, Christopher Stahlman.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, with Rev. Monty Sayers, Pastor, presiding.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church or the Clarion-Forest Visiting Nurses Association.

Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.
