Helen M. Andres, 86, a resident of 403 Grant Street, Franklin died peacefully Wednesday evening, October 1, 2014 in her home; following a period of declining health.

She was born July 17, 1928 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: Andrew and Helen Szalenga Marczak.

She was a 1946 graduate of Franklin High School.

Mrs. Andres had worked as a secretary for more than 26 years in the offices of State Equipment Company of Franklin; retiring from there in 1990.

She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin.

She was married on June 12, 1949 in St. Patrick Church to Edward F. Andres. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1999.

She is survived by two brothers: Joseph Marzak and his wife Helen of Santa Rosa, CA and Richard Marczak and his wife Marie of Oil City.

Also surviving is a special nephew: Dan Marczak also of Oil City, a special great niece: Emma Marczak and great nephew: Tyler Marczak both also of Oil City; in addition to many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a two brothers: Frank and Stanley Marczak and by her sister: Pauline Mason.

In accordance of her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11 AM in St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty Street, Franklin; with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor officiating.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed in her name to the charity of your choice.
