Hit-and-Run Crash Under Investigation in Venango County

JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred Sunday morning in Jackson Township.

According to police, around 9:14 a.m. on Sunday, November 4, a one-vehicle crash occurred as an unknown vehicle was traveling south on State Route 427 just south of Coolspring Lane in Jackson Township.

Police say for unknown reasons the vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign, causing approximately $150 in damage to the sign. After hitting the sign, the vehicle failed to stop and caused further damage to the lawn.

The vehicle then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
