SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a hit and run accident occurred Saturday morning at the Emlenton Truck Plaza parking lot, at State Route 208, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, this crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. on February 4, as a 2005 Acura MDX was stopped facing north in the Emlenton Truck Plaza parking lot at the entrance near Route 208. The driver the Acura — 38-year-old Taina L. Lee, of Piqua, Ohio — was waiting to turn right onto Route 208.

The unknown operator of a tractor-trailer was approaching the Acura from the rear. The tractor-trailer passed along the left side of the Acura, and the trailer’s right rear side at the wheels impacted the left side of the Acura’s driver’s door.

The operator of the tractor-trailer failed to stop at the accident scene. The vehicle continued to travel east on Route 208 then south on Route 38 where it entered the Interstate 80 westbound on ramp and traveled west on I-80.

Lee was using her seat belt and was not injured.
