Hunter M. McMeans

Hunter M. McMeans of Marianne Estates, Shippenville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2014, at the Clarion Hospital.  He was an honorable man with many friends and family who loved life.

Born on November 23, 1942; he was the son of Ralph and Vera Harkelroad McMeans.

Hunter was married on June 26, 1965 to the former, Barbara Wasilko, and she survives.

A veteran, he served in the Army.

He worked as a field service mechanic for Cleveland Brothers, where he retired.  After retirement, he worked for K & K Landscaping.

Hunter was of the Catholic faith.

He was also a member of the VFW Post 2145, American Legion Post 66, Knights of Columbus, and was President of the Paint Township Sewer Authority.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his dearest friends, Scott and Brenda Hoover, Bea Ausel, Joey Kriebel, and Lisa Lander; his adopted daughters, Casie Lander and Sylvia Lopez; and the Lopez family at Cozumel’s.

He is also survived by his dog, Juicy Couture; his cat, Miss Alice; and all his other cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, John Wasilko.

Family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in the funeral home with Elder’s Dennis and Leslie Stoddard, personal friends of family, officiating.

Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.

He made many beautiful memories and will be very missed.
