Investigation Underway After Seneca Man Assaulted, Robbed

TIONESTA TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police say an investigation is underway after a Seneca man was assaulted and robbed.

On Sunday, August 18, Marienville-based State Police received a call from a 24-year-old Seneca man who related that between 8:40 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. he was assaulted by approximately four white males at Outback Adventures along Station Road in Tionesta Township.

The victim told police that the assailants removed his wallet and car key. Approximately $60 to $65 was taken from his wallet.

Upon police arrival at the scene, the victim left the area.

On Monday, August 19, police made contact with the victim again. The victim stated he had suffered minor injuries and reported to the Marienville State Police barracks for an interview on Tuesday, August 20.

No further details were released.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
