Jack K. LeVier, 78 of Hawthorn, died on Thursday, September 26, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 12, 1934 in Fairmount City and son of John F. and Christene (Facemeyer) LeVier. He was married on May 1, 1959 to Myrna J. (Austin) and they celebrated 54 years.

Jack served his country with the National Guard after graduating from Redbank Valley High School in 1952. He worked as a foreman for the rough mill at Crawford Furniture. He also helped mow the ball field by his home for many years and mowed at the Redbank Valley Municipal Park for 5 years. He coached Teener League for several years and Little League for 8 years and was proud of the fact that his team the Bankers won 33 straight games. Jack was an avid golfer and was a member of the Bostonia Country Club. He also was a life member of the Hawthorn Area Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna LeVier of Hawthorn, two sons, Jackie K. LeVier and his wife Kim of Bellevue, Washington and Jamie K. LeVier and friend Pam of Mayport, two grandchildren, Alison LeVier of New Bethlehem and Jack G. LeVier of Bellevue, Washington, and two sisters, Donna Aaron and her husband Harold of Mayport and Sandy Boddorf of Fairmount City.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Darl, Delton, Ron, and John LeVier, and four sisters, Norma Steele, Lois LeVier, Berneice Spizzirri, and Lorraine Shick.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 29 from 4 – 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jodie Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Hawthorn Cemetery.
