Jacqueline M. (Banner) Way

Jacqueline M. Way, 58, of Oil City, passed away unexpectedly Saturday September 28, 2019, after a stroke.

Jackie was born April 1, 1961, in Oil City, and was the daughter of the late Ronald F. and Mary “Rita” McCauley Banner.

She grew up in Fryburg and graduated from North Clarion High School.

While working at Don Miller shoe store in Oil City, she met her soulmate “Downtown” Dan Way who preceded her in death in 2014. They were married June 22, 1985 at St. Michaels Church in Fryburg.

Jackie belonged to St. Stephens Church and was quite active in the OC Blue and White Boosters.

Jackie was the Cookie Connoisseur and lived her life fast and furious.

She enjoyed going to her boys sporting events, cooking, decorating her home, and taking care of so many kids that she treated like her own.

Surviving are two sons; Jordan Way of Pittsburgh and Logan Way of Franklin and a dog Luka.

Also surviving are siblings Julie Weaver and husband Kelly of Fryburg, Frank Banner of Marble, Jill Moore and husband Bob of Lucinda; mother in-law Betty Way of Oil City, brother in law Chris Way and wife Sharon of Oil City, Nieces and Nephews Tyler and Brett Weaver, Jonathan and Christopher Way, Matthew and Michael Way, and Kelsey and Dylan Nick. Sister in law Eva Marie Way and special friends Bob and Deb Schumacher and Kevin and Ashley James.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her father in-law Dick Way, brother in-law Mark Way Sr., and nephew Mark Way Jr.

A memorial mass will take place Friday October 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Church with Father Ian McElrath presiding.

Family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m. in the back of Church.

Inurnment will be in Calvary Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to the OC Blue and White Booster Club or Lupus foundation of America.
