Winters JamesJames D. Winters, 82, of Nickleville, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the home of his niece in Emlenton.

James was born in Rouseville on June 27, 1933. He was the son of Walter and Bertha Dickinson Winters. In his earlier years, Jim attended the Rouseville Methodist Church. He enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales.

Jim is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, his sister, Nancy McClintock and her husband Bill of Cherrytree, a sister-in-law, Mary Winters of Cranberry, as well as a number of cousins.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by four sisters, Deloris Whitehill with whom he made his home for many years, Loretta Mason, Betty Alberg, and Doris Bechtel, three brothers, Walter, Arden, and Jack Winters, six nephews, two nieces, and two great nephews, as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Private grave side service and interment will be in the Nickleville Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the Emlenton Fire Department P.O. Box 371 Emlenton, Pa 16373, or to the Emlenton Area FISH Food Cupboard P.O. Box 127 Emlenton, Pa 16373. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home, 1204 Kerr Ave. Emlenton.
