James E. Hallock

James E. Hallock, Sr., 71, of Kushequa Avenue in Kushequa, died early Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018, in the Emergency Room at UPMC Kane.

Born June 22, 1946, in Bradford, he was the son of Lawrence and Josephine Jamison Hallock. On May 27, 1967, he married Dorothy L. McMahon, who survives.

He had been a boilermaker, and later, along with his wife, owned and operated the former Commercial Hotel in Mt. Jewett for twelve years.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping – and the company of his dogs.

Surviving are three sons, James (Jolene) Hallock, Jr. of Kushequa, Edward (Tina) Hallock and Jesse (Beth) Hallock, both of Lantz Corners; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, plus a brother and two sisters.

He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by three brothers.

At his request, no visitation or service will be observed.
