Janice E. Fisher, 57, of Kerr Ave. Ext., Emlenton, went to be with the Lord at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2012, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

Janice was born in Butler on February 21, 1955. She was the daughter of Betty Jean Wetzel Helsel and the late David G. Helsel.

She was a long-time active member of the Emlenton United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed participating in church mission trips. She enjoyed flower gardening, vacationing at the shore and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Janice was a 1973 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School. In her early years, she had been employed by Northwest Bank in Emlenton, and for more than 25 years she had been employed by Farmers National Bank in Emlenton.

Janice was married in Parker on October 22, 1977 to Gary G. Fisher. He survives. Also surviving is her mother, Betty Jean Helsel of Emlenton; two children, Joshua J. Fisher and his wife, Jackie, of Emlenton, and Adrienne Fallecker and her husband, Tech. Sgt. USAF Gregory A., of Sumpter, SC; three grandchildren, Kaylee Marie Fisher of Emlenton and Mikkenzie Mikkel and Westin Levi Fallecker of Sumpter, NC; her mother-in-law, Mary Olive Fisher of Emlenton; a brother-in-law, Eric Fisher and his wife, Elaine, of St. Petersburg, and a sister-in-law, Judy Karnes and her husband, Ken, of Cranberry, as well a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, David G. Helsel and her father-in-law, Jack Fisher.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Avenue, Emlenton, from 12 – 3 p.m. Sunday and from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Monday. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home with the Rev. James W. Kimmel, pastor of the Emlenton United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Nancy Dunmire, pastor of St. Mark United Church of Christ in Monroe, officiating. Interment will follow in the Emlenton Cemetery.
