Jean-Weller-1499357691Jean Marie Worden Weller, 94 of Franklin, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at The Caring Place.

She was born on November 9, 1922 in Chapmanville, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Elsie Brown Worden.

She married her beloved husband, Albert “Ray” Weller on March 21, 1946, he preceded her in death on May 19, 2002.

Jean was a 1941 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and went on to study nursing at the Spencer Hospital of Nursing, where she graduated in 1944.

She was a member of the Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church and an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.

She and Ray enjoyed golfing together throughout their retirement years.

Jean was truly a selfless woman and devoted her life to her family.

Jean is survived by her five sons, Allan and Patti Weller of Washington, NC, William and Shelly Weller of Franklin, Charles and Lori Weller of Oil City, David and Selinda Weller of Franklin, and Edward “Scot” and Lynda Weller of Oil City, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Andrew and Hillary (Ace and Ayla) Weller, Allie and Jamie Oxtoby, Shane and Alicia (Braelyn and Levi) Weller, Alison and Joshua (Tyler and Joslyn) Graves, Austin Weller, Anissa Weller, Kayla Dziekciasz, Travis and Maggie (Porter Lyons) Weller, Natasha Weller, Cade Weller, and Riley Weller, a brother Charlie Worden and wife Mary of Punta Gorda, FL, two sisters-in-law Marjorie Weller Grumling of Oil City and Jean Weller of Oil City, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and John Worden.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 W. Park St., Franklin, where family and friends are welcome from 4 pm until 7 pm on Sunday, July 9.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Monday, July 10, at 1 pm with the Reverend Rachel Johns, Pastor of Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Jean’s name to the Rocky Grove Avenue Presbyterian Church, 321 Rocky Grove Ave, Franklin, PA 16323, or to a charity of one’s choice.
