Jeanne “Kookie” Sterner Moon

Jeanne “Kookie” Sterner Moon, 76, of Grandview Road, Oil City, PA, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab after an extended illness.

Born May 24, 1942, in Oil City, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Lois I. Roddy Sterner.

“Kookie” was a graduate of Oil City High School. 
She had worked many years for the law firm of McAlevy & Welch and later as a secretary for the L.O. Bouquin Company.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

Jeanne enjoyed watching NASCAR and Football.

She is survived by her significant other Kenneth Moon and her children, Kevin Moon and his wife Brenda of Clarion, Kurt Moon of Naperville, IL, Kelly Moon of Oil City, and Vickie Winger of Oil City; a grandson, Amos; a sister, Pam Detar and her husband Harry; and a brother, George Sterner and his wife Cinda of Franklin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Oil City Healthcare & Rehab for everything they did for Kookie and her family.

The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
