Jeffrey IrwinJeffrey S. Irwin, 51, of Cranberry, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Saturday, February 18, 2017.

He was a son of Charles and Barbara (Beach) Irwin, born in Oil City on February 14, 1966.

Jeff graduated from Oil City High School and also held certificates in vehicle inspection, CDL, and hazmat.

Mr. Irwin was of the Methodist faith.

He was employed as a truck driver for nearly 30 years, many with Penreco Refinery, and most recently with BRT, Inc, based in Parkesburg, PA.

Jeff was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, and spending time in the garage with his son. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, as they brought so much joy to his life.

He was married on February 7, 1987 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Oil City, to the former Tina M. Prenatt, and she survives.

Also surviving are his parents, Charles and Barbara Irwin of Oil City; his son, Corey S. Irwin and his wife Sarah, and their children, Skyler and Sadie, of Cranberry; two brothers, Chuck Irwin and his wife Karen, and David Irwin and his wife Denise; two sisters, Stacey Vayda and her husband Jeff, and Tracey Monkhern and her husband Tom; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Tammie Shaffer and her husband Dan, and Julie Prenatt and her husband John.

Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Blanche Beach; his paternal grandparents, Albert and Beulah Irwin; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Spud and Beverly Prenatt; a sister-in-law, Penny Wilson; and a brother-in-law, Roger Davis.

A memorial service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held Tuesday (Feb. 21) at 2 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.

Rev. Donald Rudge, pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church, will officiate.
