Jeremy Slaugenhoup, 28, of St. Petersburg, Pa. passed away at 11:57 PM Wednesday evening (09-10-14) at Golden Living Care Center in Clarion of injuries sustained in a vehicular accident over the previous weekend in Perry Twp., Clarion Co.

Born in Clarion, Pa. on August 24, 1986, he was the son of Barbara Schnell Slaugenhoup of Parker and Vern D. Slaugenhoup of St. Petersburg.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.

He was a 2004 graduate of the Karns City Area School District.

Jeremy proudly served with the U. S. Marine Corps on active duty from 2004 through 2010, and two years with the USMC Reserves. He was honorably discharged with rank of Sergeant, and had served overseas in the Middle East area of operations.
At the time of his passing, he was employed by Universal Forest Products as a floor supervisor at the Emlenton area operation.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda “Amy” Rankin Slaugenhoup whom he married Sept. 11, 2010, his son, Jakoby K. Slaugenhoup, his step-daughters, Madison Robinson and Makenzi Wyant. His mother survives at Parker, and his father and wife Brenda of St. Petersburg. His brother, Nathaniel R. and wife Rebecca Slaugenhoup survive at Richlands, NC where Nate is a Staff/Sergeant on active duty with the USMC. He is also survived by a step-sister, Sabrah Murdie of St. Petersburg, and two step-brothers, Ryan (Autumn) Himes of St. Petersburg and Michael (Bobbi) Himes of Shippenville, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to USMC Toys for Tots at chapter of donors choice.
