Jerry W. Chandler, 61, of Emlenton, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, February 6, 2018, at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Sligo, PA, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Westfield, NY, on January 1, 1957, he was son of late James W. and Annie King Chandler.

Jerry was a graduate of Ripley Central High School in Ripley, NY, and studied electronics and graduated from Gateway Technical Institute in Pittsburgh. He was employed as a computer technician with Hewlett-Packard of Erie for over twenty five years. A lover of music, he was gifted in playing banjo, guitar, and harmonica. He also enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife, the former Dixie Lee Gallagher, to whom he was married over thirty-eight years; three daughters: Amanda (Brandin) Rushlander of Mantua, OH, Hannah (Brad) Eiler of Emlenton, and Laura Chandler of Edinboro University (student); three grandchildren: Violet Rushlander, and Ella and Emma Eiler; and sister Janet (Ed) Strain of Ripley, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 8:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
