Joan H. Blose, 85, of New Bethlehem (Eddyville), died late Tuesday evening, July 25, 2017 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Born on August 25, 1931 in Hooks, Pa. Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Alice Mae (Hooks) Croyle.

She was married on June 16, 1953 to Elmer Dean “Doc” Blose and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2000.

She was a member of the St. Marks Lutheran Church in Eddyville.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Blose of Fryburg and John Blose and his wife Patricia Hudzick Blose of Sprankle Mills, two daughters, Etta Mae Brown and her husband, Ron of Distant and Peggy Blose Snyder and her husband Brian of Snydersburg, six grandchildren, Brandy Juart, Ashley Callihan, Nicole Engelhardt, Jonathan Blose, Trenton Blose, and Autumn Blose, six great grandchildren, Collin Callihan, Giana Juart, Dawson Juart, Rylee Blose, Ariana Engelhardt, and Bentley Blose, a sister, Shirley Neal of Brookville, and a brother, William Croyle of Florida.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2017, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home, a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Elder Rex Munsee officiating.

Interment will be in the Eddyville Cemetery Redbank Township, Armstrong County.
