John Malcolm Connor, Jr., 86 of Polk, passed away on Wednesday, May 17th surrounded by his friends and Direct Care Staff after a period of declining health.

John resided at Polk Center for almost 80 years. Over those years, he touched many lives. He was a very quiet and kind man. He had beautiful blue eyes that would “dance” when he was happy.

Most of the time, John would be found sitting in his recliner watching what was going on around him, not usually wanting to take part but enjoying the commotion.

The Direct Care Staff at Meadowside will fondly miss and remember John for his calm demeanor and his handsome smile.

Family and friends of John will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Monday, May 22nd from 10:00 to 10:30 am.

Services will be held at 10:30 am at the funeral home following visitation with Polk Center Ministerial officiating.

Interment will be at the Franklin Cemetery.
