John William Ansel, III, of Clarion passed away at the Clarion Hospital on March 31, 2017 following a brief illness. He was 51 years of age.

Born on February 8, 1966 in Clarion, he was the son of John W., Jr., and Linda (Bowersox) Ansel.

John enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his mother, Linda, of Clarion; and his sister, Barbara Schiberl, of Emlenton. He is also survived by his nephew, Colton Schiberl, and his niece, Ashley Toy, and husband Mike, and two great-nieces, Janell and Chloe Toy.

John was preceded in death by his father John W. Ansel, Jr., and a brother-in-law, Brion Schiberl.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion.

As per John’s express wishes, there will be no visitation or viewing. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
