Joseph P. Facini, 91 of Franklin passed away at 2:00 P.M. on May 22, 2017 at Arista Care in Meadville.

Born July 4, 1925 in Franklin, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Stelmach Facini.

He was a graduate of Franklin High School.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII.

He worked for over 27 years at the former CPT in Franklin as a machinist. Most recently he worked at the Pennsylvania State Liquor Store.

He was an avid hunter and gardener who loved being in the country.

Joe truly had a passion for the outdoors and nature and proudly served as a volunteer Deputy Wildlife Conservation officer for the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Joe was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Franklin.

On May 1, 1948 he married the former Lorraine Daugherty and she survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Kathleen Menda and husband William of Alexandria, VA and a sister, Frances Hajduk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Facini and a brother, Stephen Facini.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Friday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Friday in St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty St. Franklin with Father Jason Mitchell, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
