Judith Ann (Battaglia) Ramsey

Judith Ann (Battaglia) Ramsey, 75, of Winters Rd. Brookville, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Penn Highlands Hospital in Brookville, PA.

She was born on October 20, 1941, in Brookville, the daughter of Arthur Salvatore Battaglia and Goldie Marie Plyler.

On June 11, 1960, she married Earl James Ramsey who passed away on June 28, 2014.

Judy was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, playing Wizard of Oz on her Ipad, and for 37 years selling Avon.

She also enjoyed watching her Sister Chris bake cookies and she was the one who always put on the icing, but most of all, her life’s love was spending time with her husband, family, and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by 1 daughter – Diana Cochran (Raymond) and 1 Son – James Arthur Ramsey both of Tonawanda, NY, 4 Brothers – Frank Battaglia (Sandy) of Erie, PA, Art Battaglia (Jean) of Tonawanda, NY, Joe Battaglia (Cindy) of Reynoldsville, PA, and Mark Battaglia (Lisa) of Brookville, PA, 4 Sisters – Marie Garris (George) of Clarion, PA, Georgianna “Georgie” Thomas of Brookville, PA, Chris Phillips (George) of Brookville, PA, and Mary Park of Brookville.

She is also survived by a Son-in-Law Pete Considine, the father of grandsons Robert (wife Melissa), Eric (wife Jackie), and Cory Considine, also survived by grandchildren Michael Paul Cochran and Breann Cochran (Matt Heim) who is expecting soon “Lil Nugget” Judy’s first great-grandchild, who she was very very excited to see.

Also surviving are 5 generations of nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter – Debra Leigh Considine who passed away December 15, 2015, and 4 Brothers – Donald L., Robert A., Gregory V., and Michael E. Battaglia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Peterson Funeral Home 153 Jefferson St. Brookville, PA 15825 with a service to immediately follow at 6 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Judy’s name may be made to either the American Heart Association – 823 Filmore Ave. Erie, PA 16505, or to the American Cancer Society – 21823 Rt. 68 Ste 1 Clarion, PA 16214.
