Philp, Judith Gordon (1)Judith Gordon Philp, 74, of Thompson Street Brookville lost her battle with cancer Tuesday April 29th, 2014 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born December 29, 1939, in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Ellen L. Vandivort Gordon.
She was married to Dr. Fred Philp on July 28, 1962.

She was a graduated from Reynoldsville High School and Penn State University with a degree in elementary education.
She taught at Penn Hills prior to her marriage and raising her family in Brookville. She was a member of the Brookville Presbyterian Church.

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She appreciated the theater and would often attend Sawmill Theater productions with her friends. In November, she traveled to New York City for the first time and was thrilled to attend “Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway with her children.

She is survived by her children Scott G. Philp and his wife Karen of Mechanicsburg, PA, Bryant D. Philp and his wife Susan of New Market, MD, Jennifer Philp Lamb and her husband John of Mooresville, NC, her brothers Dr. Dan S. Gordon and his wife Patricia of Wishaw, PA and Joe B. Gordon and his wife Nancy of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA and 7 Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one granddaughter.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6PM to 9PM at the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Brookville, PA 15825
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Nathan Royster officiating.
Interment will be at the Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville, Pa.
