IMG_3125[1] (1)Judy A. Kresenske, 76, a resident of 1818 S. Main Street, Cooperstown, died peacefully at 7:30 AM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family; following a period of declining health.

She was born September 5, 1940 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: Earl P. and Florence M. Slingluff Barnes.

She was a 1958 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

She was married December 13, 1958 in Rocky Grove to James L. “Jim” Kresenske, who preceded her in death on July 21, 2009.

Mrs. Kresenske had worked for many years in the payroll department, beginning her career with PennDot and retiring from the former Venango Manor.

She was a longtime active member of the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Kresenske enjoyed and looked forward to camping with her family, cooking and baking, playing Bingo, and most especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sporting events.

She is survived by a son, David M. Kresenske of Cooperstown, three daughters: Tammy A. Beightol and husband Monte of Titusville, Debra Kresenske and wife Sally of Meadville and Amy S. Garris of Hadley. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Christopher, Rebecca, Matthew and Monte Lee Beightol and Mackensie and Ryan Garris.

Also surviving is her brother, James Barnes of Sugarcreek, in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and by an infant brother, Gary Barnes and by her sister-in law, Nola Barnes.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Private burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, at the convenience of her family.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed in her name to either: The Venango County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Oil City, PA 16301 or to the Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department, Cooperstown, PA 16317.
