Judy J. Sobina, 61, of 810 East Third St. Oil City, PA. , died Sunday Jan. 29, 2017 at St. Vincent’s in Erie after a short illness.

Born May 4, 1955 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Earl “Jess” James & Loretta Dick James.

On Sept. 23, 1988 she married Michael S. Sobina and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2015.

Judy enjoyed swimming, shopping and spending time on her computer and facebook. She also enjoyed bingo, spending time with her family and her dogs Molly & Hunter.

She had been employed at Giant Eagle for many years and at Blair in Reno.

She is survived by her loving son, Michael S. Sobina of Oil City; her sister, Kay James Lee & her husband John of Oil City; her brother, Edward James & his companion Helen Bucholz of Oil City; her mother-in-law, Louise Sobina of Oil City; and her brother-in-law, Stephen Sobina & his wife Susan of Pittsburgh and a special friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her father -in-law Stanley Sobina, and by two nieces Melody Gregory and Misty Jean James.

Friends will be received from 4-8pm Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am in the Funeral Home with Rev. Monty Sayers, Presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
